Did you know that humans improperly dispose of one million metric tons of plastic that wind up in our oceans? Did you also know that Tom Ford, former C.F.D.A. chairman, declared the fashion industry as unsustainable?
S.C. Johnson wanted to do something about both of these issues by inspiring humanity to clean up their act and be more thoughtful about the circular economy.
So, we designed a fashion show inspired by circularity and the ocean refracting sunlight, and featuring upcycled clothing. Complete with a mirrored infinity sign runway, a replica on the ceiling, and projection mapping, we developed a run of show where 60-Second Docs, executive speeches, and ocean visuals rounded out custom lines curated by up-and-coming sustainable fashion designers.
Stepping into an ACD role, I wrote the creative strategy, as well as concepted the pop-ups and elements of the environmental design in collaboration in set designer.
