M.A.D.E. (Making Accounting Diverse and Equitable) was Deloitte's outreach program to educate high school and college students on accounting as a viable career that's more fascinating than all the jokes make you believe. For M.A.D.E. Day, when students visit Deloitte offices around the country, employees reminded their visitors that all industries, including the "cool" ones, need accountants to function. And that, if their dream job was in sports, music, fashion, food, or nonprofits (among others), then getting an accounting degree could help them follow the passion.
My art director partner and I created banners and posters that lived on screens and in print. I wrote copy lines that played on accounting and a nuance from each "cool" industry.
